Report on Reading Day Assembly

In alignment with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Little Flower Convent School, Sangrur, organized a special morning assembly on the occasion of Reading Day to promote reading habits among students.
The assembly commenced at 7:50 AM on the school ground. As part of the day’s activities, a Reading Pledge was taken by all students and teachers. The pledge was spoken by Kushpreet, a student representative, and was repeated in unison by the entire school community, including students and staff. The pledge emphasized the importance of books, the habit of regular reading, and the role of reading in personal growth and national development.
This initiative aimed to foster a strong reading culture among the students and to inspire them to become lifelong learners. The school Principal Sister Mary Lavania appreciated the enthusiastic participation and encouraged students to make reading a daily habit.
The assembly concluded with a renewed commitment from all to value books and reading in their everyday lives.
