Description:
A Mental Health Seminar was organized today at Little Flower Convent School for the students of classes VIII, IX, and X. The session was conducted by Mr. Samuel Teja, a well-known counselor, who enlightened the students on the importance of maintaining good mental health.
Mr. Teja began the session by explaining why we celebrate World Mental Health Day and what mental health truly means. He highlighted that just as physical health is essential for our body, mental health is equally vital for our overall well-being. He spoke about the symptoms of poor mental health and signs of depression, helping students identify when they or someone they know might need emotional support.
The counselor also discussed ways to overcome stress, anxiety, and negative thoughts. He introduced the students to the concept of positive affirmations, emphasizing how daily self-affirmations and a positive mindset can bring remarkable changes in one’s attitude and confidence.
The seminar was highly interactive and informative. Students participated enthusiastically, shared their thoughts, and cleared their doubts about mental health. The session helped them understand how to remain mentally strong, balanced, and optimistic in every situation.
Overall, the seminar proved to be a fruitful and inspiring experience. It not only raised awareness about mental health but also motivated students to care for their emotional well-being and to spread positivity among their peers.
