Under the supervision of
Fr Lawrence Benedict (Manager) and Sr Mary Lavania (Principal) the workshop provided an enlightening overview of the National Education Policy (NEP) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF). Key highlights included:
- Stages of education: Foundational (Nursery to Class 2), Preparatory (Classes 3-5), Middle (Classes 6-8), and Secondary (Classes 9-12)
- Effective teaching strategies:
- Concept application and expansion
- Active learning techniques (Think-Pair-Share, One-Minute Paper)
- Yoga tips for mental peace and well-being
- Five broad aims of education under NEP:
- Rational thought and autonomy
- Health and well-being
- Democratic participation
- Economic participation
- Cultural participation
- Classroom management techniques:
- Engaging students through active learning
- Asking questions to weaker students
- Assigning tasks and providing feedback
